Early clean

As Storm Helene looks set to challenge the UK this week we’ve lifted My Way 2 out a few weeks early for her autumn & pre winter TLC. Everything now going to plan and we’re excited for the close of 2018 and our time afloat on the Menai Straits. Winter afloat in the Menai Straits

From November 01st we relocate to the Menai Straits for our Winter Fishing. The Straits is filled with a number of different fish including codling, huss, eels, dogfish, rays and also plump whiting and dabs along with many other species. Such is the geography, sheltered good fishing is on offer from most tides & winds. We have now updated our availability for this coming winter fishing in the Menai Straits. Dolphins

We managed a run out to Holyhead Deep between the winds this week  fornour reward a good number of huss and spurdogs into double figures We were actually late for our anchor as a small pod of bottle nosed dolphins decided to play alongside My Way 2 never get tired of seeing these beautiful creatures  swimming in our bow wake and giving us a great display to watch

Mixed bags

It’s been a busy time for us lately with a few things. Weather hasn’t been the best, grabbing days afloat here & there making the most. Hard day comes good

A brisk north west wind and some difficult fishing was all set to put the dampeners on our fishing exploits today.  Our first few marks either drift or anchor struggled to produce any amount of fish. Dogs, huss and whiting the main culprits taking the baits.  As the weather eased, we ventured out a bit further for another attempt at the rays. That’s fishing

The last week has not been the easiest of late. The weather has been up and down, and the Fishing has followed a similar path. Great on some marks and others not so good. Still we’ve sailed and been amogst the fish as often as we can, with some good laughs along the way.
