The wind decided to cancel today for us, so whilst My Way braves a Force 7, we’ve decided to venture onto the lake once more for a spot of fresh water fishing. Another great weekend afloat

Great sport this weekend, blustery & drizzly rain yesterday with today a complete contrast with little wind, blue skies and gorgeous sunshine. Good fishing all round with huss and tope the larger species at anchor. With a plentiful amount of wrasse and small pollack on the light tackle drifting both days. Angler Report from 24th April 2017

Well. What can I say….. fished on My Way skippered by non other than Gethyn Owen today, out of Holyhead. Skipper reckons it was a slow day today, but if a slow day involves tope, spurdogs, huss, wrasse and pollock, then I can’t even begin to imagine what a good days like!!!!!!! Another member of the Mersey hound family was on board, Tom Murphy. He’s relatively new to boat fishing but with the guidance of Gethyn managed several new species and shattered his previous pb’s! Cod

The cod is possibly the most recognisable fish in our waters. With 3 dorsal fins and 2 anal fins, the cod is also identifiable from the family trait of a barbel coming from the lower jaw. The upper jaw on a cod protrudes well beyond the lower jaw.
