Yesterday we fished on board my way 2 skippered by the very kind and generous Gethyn Owen. Geth is an absolute legend and donated all the money from the trip to a very worthwhile cause and I can’t thank him enough ❤️.

Anyway 10 lads sailed from holyhead at around 8:30am on a glorious morning with flat calm sea’s and the sun beating down. First up some in shore drifting and it was fish from the off! Lots of pollock up to around the 2lb mark and 1 or 2 belting ballan wrasse.
We drifted a few marks and all produced the goods so after everyone had some fun with the smaller stuff we set off on a little bit of a journey to put the anchor down and hopefully snag a few rays and huss. Again skipper didn’t disappoint with rod tips twitching pretty much straight away lots of whiting and doggy obviously but also are main targets started showing and in decent numbers.
A good few, unbelievably spiky, Anglsey thorny and some stunning as ever bull huss. Geth made us a most excellent sausage, bean and tomatoes casserole and Mark ran round sorting baits and rigs and everything else so we was all well looked after and wanted for nothing. Andy Woods brought chocolate cake so that was a winner too 👍🍰😋.
Then after all that fun it was back in shore for more pollock and wrasse fun on the drift. An action packed day that also raised a fantastic amount of money for little frankie. Thank you all for a wonderful day
