After a long winter layup we finally enjoyed a weekend afloat.
With the strong winds last week and a big sea at Caenarfon Bar our fishing was restricted to the Menai Strait yesterday with whiting, herring making up the bulk with a few dabs, huss and a solitary ray for our efforts.
Calmer seas allowed exit into the bay today for a good mixed bag. Plenty of rays for everyone with whiting, dabs, dogs, huss and more including our first tope of the year, a good 25lb specimen.
A really enjoyable weekend dusting off the cobwebs, now looking forward to the year ahead.
