Big tides inshore

Spring tides of late has kept our fishing on a more general basis.

Ivy was hauling the small pollack in on the drift, awesome young angler that didn’t stop for 8hrs

Part of the day at anchor and also drifting around the coast looking for a good variety of species

Species caught included dogs, huss, dabs, whiting, pollack, ballan, cuckoo, tope, sandeel, grey red and tub gurnard, mackerel, mini species and many more.

We don’t get many bass in a season, so always a nice surprise to see a few now and then
Colin caught his first tope on Monday, a cracking 41lb specimen
We’ve managed a few scad too, this a cracking fatty at over 1 lb. Ours are normally mackerel sized
Cuckoo wrasse are stunning little fish
