This week before we all slow down to celebrate Christmas we’ve enjoyed some much welcome settled weather in North Wales.
Our recent trips have been set out to sail over the low water period, starting with some scratching around for whiting, dabs dogfish and mini species followed by a crack at the Menai Congers and Huss.
The congers have been feeding well, with everyone catching often 2 or 3 each in the last few trips.
Nothing of a monstrous size sadly, the best going 20lb, but still a glut of congers that can put a good bend in a rod and tick off that much needed species for the anglers 2021 species hunt.
