With the recent storm over we’ve enjoyed a couple of days afloat on the Menai Strait. Sunday was a slower day with whiting dogs the odd huss and a solitary conger taking the baits.
Yesterday the fish fed well. Armed with some good quality mackerel and squid it started off with whiting and dogs keeping us busy as we waited for the turn of tide and a move down the Strait for potential huss and conger.
Fortunately neither disappointed.
With only a few lads on I even managed a full days fishing myself, including 4 strap eels and a dozen huss.
