A brisk north west wind and some difficult fishing was all set to put the dampeners on our fishing exploits today.
Our first few marks either drift or anchor struggled to produce any amount of fish. Dogs, huss and whiting the main culprits taking the baits.
As the weather eased, we ventured out a bit further for another attempt at the rays.
Thankfully armed with a bucket of fresh mackerel caught by young Gethin, the rays came out and we managed to bag a good few to brighten up a slow day.
Heading in we stopped off for a quick drift again and following a poor drift earlier on were rewarded with pollack, wrasse and codling.
