IMPORTANT NOTICE

It is with regret that we have taken the decision to cancel all of our last two weeks of trips from Port Dinorwic Marina for this season!

Earlier this week having stood proud for nearly 200 years and following the relentless storms of late there was a partial collapse of the outer dock wall.

Our 5/6hr Menai Strait trips in particular and some of our longer sails see us leaving and returning a few hours either side of high water. Having examined the area at low water and then at our normal time of departure & return we are concerned that movement is severely hampered, more so when considering the now narrower safe entrance, tides and ever changing winds!

Safe movement for us is now restricted to an hour or so either side of high water itself, thus significantly reducing any time we have afloat, for all but full day trips that have the potential to leave and return over high.

Port Dinorwic Marina have done a great job of informing all concerned and I am told plans are already underway to rebuild the damaged area starting in the next few weeks.

Our aim is to prepare for our return to Holyhead on April 01st, then eventually back to Port Dinorwic next autumn and continue our popular 5 & 10hr trips along the Menai Strait from early October 2020.

Thanks to everyone who has just had a trip cancelled over the next fortnight for their understanding and see you soon in Holyhead.
