It was an interesting start to the day yesterday for our first trip from Port Dinorwic for 2020.
It was an excellent forecast with the weather gods looking kindly upon us for a change. 8am sail though in the thickest fog I’ve witnessed for a long while.
It did clear up within half an hour and left us with gloriously calm seas and sunshine for our 2hr steam off to the wrecks.
Fish came aboard from the start, slow for the first half hour as the tide started to run, then it was a continual haul of pollack for the lads.
With sizes between 5 & 11lb, the fishing was superb for late September, resulting in three fish boxes stacked high with prime cod for the table.
