Photos from our last decent spell of weather way back last June. A weekend of competition aboard My Way 2. Each day sponsored generously once again by PENN Europe, with a brand new PENN Wrath Bolescopic rod and PENN battle 3 FS spool available to an angler each day that accrued the most points. Safe to say the weather and fishing was on to form. Congratulations to Carwyn and Mark on their wins.

According to Mr C yesterday was a sh*t sandwich on Sunday May 20th, great two half’s either side of a dodgy filling I cannot disagree, sadly the tope never turned up for their part of our day afloat yesterday. Either side of the less than appetising middle was a good mix bag, with thornbacks putting up a great show for all aboard. A good day all said, weather was perfect, fishing was good for 66.66% of the time and the banter flowed.

Was another excellent day, weather & company superb and the fishing was pretty darn good too. Plenty of thornbacks, with whiting, dabs, dogs, mackerel and more including the first black bream of the season. A good number of tope landed … and lost. Great fun in the sun.

Four of us headed off for a short break in Oban, Scotland earlier this week in search of some magnificent skate aboard the famous Laura Dawn 2 skippered by Leigh Taylor. Having lost out on the best part of the fishing last year due to poor weather, this time around we were blessed with calm and settled seas to make our trip even more enjoyable. Hard work the first day with only one landed for Graham, a fantastic male specimen of 140lb. Leigh had a rethink for day two and changed plans slightly, resulting in an excellent days fishing with […]

In between wind and work, we’ve managed a good few trips through April. Thornbacks have been the main catch through April, with a plentiful amount coming to the boat, 1, 2 and on the odd occasion 3 at a time. The early season fishing has included herring, whiting, dogs, huss, rays, tope and a few other species. Our availability has recently been updated, we’ve limited spaces till Oct this year, please have a look and get in touch if you fancy a day afloat.

After a long winter layup we finally enjoyed a weekend afloat. With the strong winds last week and a big sea at Caenarfon Bar our fishing was restricted to the Menai Strait yesterday with whiting, herring making up the bulk with a few dabs, huss and a solitary ray for our efforts. Calmer seas allowed exit into the bay today for a good mixed bag. Plenty of rays for everyone with whiting, dabs, dogs, huss and more including our first tope of the year, a good 25lb specimen. A really enjoyable weekend dusting off the cobwebs, now looking forward to […]
