Four of us headed off for a short break in Oban, Scotland earlier this week in search of some magnificent skate aboard the famous Laura Dawn 2 skippered by Leigh Taylor.
Having lost out on the best part of the fishing last year due to poor weather, this time around we were blessed with calm and settled seas to make our trip even more enjoyable.
Hard work the first day with only one landed for Graham, a fantastic male specimen of 140lb.
Leigh had a rethink for day two and changed plans slightly, resulting in an excellent days fishing with a total of 10 skate being landed.
