It was the 4th day of our Smoothhound Challenge week last Friday. Sponsored by PENN Fishing the aim to catch the heaviest hound to win a new PENN Wrath rod and reel combo.
The stamp of fish has been generally quite low this year, with an average size of 8lb. However we’ve had some good mid and high teens through the week to keep the excitement and anticipation going.
Friday returned over 30 hounds with the eventual winner Anglesey Angler Mark Cain with a hound of 14lb.
