The cause
The current pandemic has affected all of us in many different ways, the recreational angling fleet in Wales as example remains unsupported by our Governments., as do many other industries.
Communities too are affected, this is being felt throughout a variety of groups more so as even tighter restrictions hamper our daily life.
Ysgol Llangoed, (Llangoed Primary school) on Anglesey is one such place where their normal fundraising efforts have all been cancelled for 2020 and quite possibly early 2021. I’m certain all reading this are aware of school coffee mornings, bingo nights, discos and the traditional Christmas Fayre.
All vital to fundraising efforts that help schools with the day to day support and caring for the children.
Ysgol Llangoed is desperate to replace old items that support key areas with Foundation Stage children, books, new play spaces and further equipment to help the increase in pupils keep safe and enjoy a happy environment whilst at school.
In these uncertain times and with the need to try and help wherever we can, we have purchased the brand new rod and reel as our superb prize.
With the rig sale and free prize draw we hope to raise £885.
The money raised will be donated in total to the Foundation Stage years of Ysgol Llangoed to help with the purchase of various items to aid in the education and well being of the children there.
