Following the harsh weather of the weekend, the winds abated on Monday enough for us to head 20miles off for our latest wreck fishing adventure.
Fortunately for everyone onboard the weather and fish all combined to give us a fantastic days fishing.
As soon as we stopped the wreck gave up fish for every angler on every drift. Single and double shots of fat cod averaging 7lb with the biggest weighing in just short of 10lb, keeping us busy.
A couple weeks ago this wreck in particular was full of plump pollack to 12lb, today the cod were on the feed, with the pollack located in small pockets around the wreck.
Mersey based angler John (picture above) hitting a new pb at 10lb 10oz
Plenty of pollack mixed in with a generous amount of cod.
Excellent fishing for all made all the more better by calm seas and sunshine
