Looking back at the recurring theme of foul weather, 2017 was the not best of years for many around the UK, north Wales no different with numerous days cancelled through strong winds. Days afloat however reduced from previous years were quite frequent and filled with some great fishing and laughs for those that sailed with us. Review of 2016 aboard My Way

Our pictorial review of 2016, interspersed with a few anecdotes of the fishing aboard My Way through the year. End of February is when My Way usually refloats after her winter maintenance and tender loving care. The fishing can often be as mixed as the weather, with some days producing far more than others. The inshore fishing can be quite hectic at times, with dogs, whiting, codling and Huss the mainstay of a fairly decent mixed bag of around 10 species. High winds ripped through much of the UK last winter and Anglesey certainly wasn’t let off. Sadly these storm force weather fronts cancelled our first few trips, but also left us in awe of the power and destruction Mother Nature can inflict when she so wishes. These photos are from the Rocky Coast, showing the barrage of abuse suffered by Holyhead Breakwater in its on-going mission to keep the port safe from destructive storm fronts. MARCH January and February of last year, saw high winds and some pretty atrocious weather conditions blight most of the UK. We had our fair share in our small corner. It wasn’t until March 01st, St Davids day that My Way set sail for the first time in 2014. 2013 Aboard My Way

On 08th February 2013 we re-launched My Way after her period of routine winter maintenance and some tender loving care. Thankfully everything went well and over 09th 10th February managed our first weekend afloat of the new 2013 season. With spring tides upon us and not the best weather conditions, we decided to remain inshore on both days and try for a few different species to get the year underway. 2012 Aboard My Way

On 07th February My Way was re-launched following a 4week stint in the boat yard having some well-earned TLC following the rigours of the previous year afloat. The next few days were spent completing a few odd jobs before getting the kit ready for our first trip of the 2012 season.
