Fished well
Lovely day on the wrecks last week after a few days stuck ashore with bad weather. Fish were feeding on every wreck we tried with all rods bent over. Didn’t take long to fill the fish boxes, plenty of fillets going home Only a handful of spaces remaining for this season please check Individuals or Boat for availability. More photos in Gallery 274

Sunshine, calm seas and a complete contrast Thursday to the weather we had on the previous Monday. Offshore wrecking again and the fish were feeding from the first drop. A few wrecks fished and rods bent every time . 6lb average with the best falling just short of double figures, excellent early season fishing. Mark Cain testing out the new PENN Fishing Regiment III 12/20 boat rod with great results, single or double shots every drift, the rod proved an excellent companion to his PENN Fathom 15LD2speed. Fun couple days off shore recently. last Tuesday was not for the nervy! A strong Northerly F4-5 that failed to drop off as forecasted left us with an interesting day afloat. Top that with the first few wrecks not producing it was getting difficult! Fortunately the fish switched on with the next couple wrecks and we managed to fill the cool boxes with fish. Not the double figure stamp we’re used to, but a good 6-8lb average keeping the […]

2nd in our 2020 My Way 2 species hunt, Graham Chadwick won a £200 voucher to exchange for new gear from the Pure Fishing range. With more species and fishing enjoyment in mind, Graham opted for a rod & reel from the new PENN ranges. PENN Wrath Bolescopic rods are available in two different versions; a lighter 7 ft version that can be used with weights up to 110g and a 8ft version up to 250g. These easy-to-transport bolo rods are well balanced and due to the sensitive tip, the rods have a perfect bite registration. The […]

We’ve enjoyed some great mixed fishing recently on the spring tides. Drifting around the coast we’ve been rewarded with a good number of ballan and cuckoo wrasse, together with pout, poor cod, pollack, codling, mackerel and scad. At anchor, we’ve seen plenty of thornback rays, bull huss, dogfish and whiting. We’ve also been catching grey gurnard, black bream amongst many others. A quick nip out to the wrecks on a calm day once again so us hitting the pollack. Choosing a closer wreck than normal to allow for other fishing, it was rewarding to still fill a toolbox in […]

Another great day afloat recently, but the highlight has to be our 2nd minke whale sighting. Sadly the photos are not the best, everywhere I pointed the camera it popped up behind me. Such inquisitive creatures, we were as fascinated with the whale, as it was with us and were treated to a 20minute show as the whale circled My Way 2 and on occasions swam passed at speed with the white pectoral fins darting through the water.
