It’s been a month since we started our new fun competition the My Way 2 Species Hunt 2020. Sadly the weather hasn’t really been in our favour, the Menai Strait benefits from shelter from most winds, barring a blow from the South West and the recent storms and strong winds have restricted our outings. We had a Great day afloat last last time out. Whiting the mainstay of the day with 1, 2 and 3 at a time for all onboard. Yesterday, despite a week of lovely calm weather was completely different. Even the whiting played very hard to get, part way through the trip it was a desperate affair to avoid the dreaded blank! Gorgeous day afloat last Sunday. Fishing was hectic with plenty of fish coming to the boat, however species not so obliging. Whiting the mainstay of the day with 1, 2 and 3 at a time for those onboard.  Many of the whiting nice and plump, a few being retained for fish cakes later in the week.  We also got underway on our new competition for 2020 – the My Way 2 species hunt.
