Plenty of huss

I was surprised to learn this week that bull huss are classed as threatened in certain areas. Scientists need to come study them around Anglesey where they are thriving. Mixed bag again on Friday and a plentiful amount of good fat huss for most onboard. More photos in Gallery 238

Weather window

We managed to relaunch My Way this week, already for late Autumn and Winter afloat. A strong onshore wind forecast for the morning abated by lunchtime and allowed us to set sail looking for some small sharks to tag. We were joined by Will Millard, a writer, expedition leader and popular BBC presenter. Many reading this article know of Will from his excellent programs. The most recent include My Year With The Tribe, Hidden Cardiff and The River Wye. If you’ve not seen them I’d urge you to check them out, fascinating stuff. Will is presenting a new program for […]

As the wind blows

After a few days afloat with the good mixed fishing reported earlier the wind once again kicked in over much of North Wales, Anglesey in particular suffering with more winds up to a F8. A day at the lake was called for with the better half, with a little competition between us both on who could catch the most.  Sadly the carp didn’t want to play ball, with just a couple each and a decent sized bream each too. Plenty of small bits on the pole including rudd, perch and crucian carp. More photos in Fresh Water Gallery 2 If […]

Never a dull moment

Fishing and Fun go hand in hand, sometimes when fishing for the likes of hounds & tope etc. it’s a waiting game, bait prepared, rods set … wait for the hit. There is always time to chill and have a giggle and this is what happened when I left my GoPro unattended with Nad and Cards near by …    For more fishing and fun videos please visit our GO Angling TV page
