A great weekend was just had aboard My Way, kicking off April in superb fashion. We had a good variety inshore with dogs, whiting, codling and huss the mains at anchor, with a good number of pollack to 2lb on the drift. Late afternoon both days saw us catching plenty of Spurdog at the edge of Holyhead Deep. Numerous small sharks landed averaging 10lb. Another great day afloat on 18th December, stopped off inshore for the morning plenty of bits n pieces, with whiting being retained to supplement the mackerel and squid baits. Quick check of the tide book so we weren’t too late for the slack water in the deeps, then it was a couple hours chasing small sharks. Despite a sloppy sea, we managed some cracking sport with a plentiful amount of spurdogs, topped off with a few huss and the odd bait robbing dogfish.
