Work has been continuing on My Way 2 as and when the winds and rain have allowed. One day saw us polishing the propellor. The it was a big wash and polish for the red of My Way 2 Looking great now for the season ahead. It is surprising just how much marine growth on the underside of boat can reduce speed and impact fuel efficiency. Antifouling is the process of protecting the hull from this marine growth by applying a protective layer of specialist paint on the bottom of the boat.

A mixed bag of nationalities this weekend as anglers from England, Scotland and Wales descended on the Menai Strait for a winter outing. Following a couple weeks of hard fishing with big tides, rain and coloured water, the clearer water this weekend helped out greatly as our day started off with a constant stream of whiting and dabs. Following a successful winter season 2018/2019 fishing from the beautiful Menai Strait, My Way 2 will return to Port Dinorwic Marina during the first week of October 2019. On the Strait we enjoyed some superb winter sport from a variety of different species. A mystical part of Wales that affords shelter and calm seas from all wind directions! Within the sheltered waters, most trips saw a succession of species including witing, dabs, codling, dogfish, huss, smoothhound, conger and an array of other species. From November 01st we relocate to the Menai Straits for our Winter Fishing. The Straits is filled with a number of different fish including codling, huss, eels, dogfish, rays and also plump whiting and dabs along with many other species.
