The weather this summer can be best described as appalling. Sadly we’ve had to cancel far more trips than we’ve sailed.
Fortunately when we have set sail the fishing has been good. Holyhead Deep has been loaded with pack tope and huss with the odd spurdog. In the bay today a great mixed bag including tope to 42lb.
Inshore trips we’ve had a variety of species at anchor & on the drift. Best inshore codling went 5lb and pollack to 4lb.
Last Friday was the first Pure Fishing Sponsored fun match for a long while, plenty of species including rays, huss, pollack, wrasse, codling and a few grey gurnard.
And we always eat well too
