We had a hard day afloat yesterday, the forecasted 12 to 18knots developed into 32knots of southerly wind. All safe in the bay, but Fishing was sketchy with dogs huss and Whiting the mainstay of our catches.
The forecast today stuck to plan and with light winds we were rewarded with some great fishing.
The deeps produced tope, spurdogs and huss with the drifting offering some good size pollack and wrasse.
I won’t mention the one that got away, would have been the biggest cod landed on My Way ( currently 6lb no monster I know but the port isn’t renowned for large cod ). To the surface, but sadly spat the hook just as the net was being lowered, no it wasn’t my fault 😂
