Really enjoyable day afloat last Saturday, despite the wind and rain early on for our first Pure Fishing Fun Competition for the winter season.
As normal for winter on the Menai plenty of whiting etched onto the scorecard to start with, followed by dogfish, pout, huss and a small 5 bearded rockling.
Amassing the most points, top rod for the day was Holyhead angler Kieran Welsh, choosing a versatile
Squadron Touch Tip rod as his prize.

Great fun and a great feeling to be afloat again after lockdown and spring tide blues
