Whilst the wind blows 50mph+ outside today, its hard not to get disheartened with the constant barrage of bad weather. However sifting through photographs today from this years fishing, you quickly remember the many great days we had afloat.
Our tope fishing kicked off in April this year, when fishing for spurdogs and local rod Iwan pictured above, was fortunate to land three 25lb+ tope during the session. Tope are caught frequently in the deeps, especially when targeting the likes of huss and spurdogs.
In all the tope fishing was good for us once again aboard My Way, with many tope landed, our best day seeing over 20 come from Holyhead Deep in a frantic 2hrs along with huss and a couple spurdogs.
The sizes weren’t as big as previous years, averaging 25lb our biggest being just over 40lb. Early summer inshore and they were a pain at times, targeting thornbacks and having the baits taken by 5 to 10lb tope, looking outside I’d take that now!
